| What
turned out to be a so - so finish for Team Alba
Racing's GNC Championship Contender Kory Ellis,
proved to be an exciting event for the fans out
at Gainsville, Florida. Getting a terrible start
in the first moto had Kory near the back of the
pack. Starting from so far back meant that he
had a lot of passing to do if he wanted to get
to the front - so that's exactly what he did.
I passed something like 14 riders
during that moto. I was probably riding harder
than usual to try and make up for the bad starts.
Unfortunately, moto two went
just about as well, with a bad start and a lot
of passing. Although it didn't lead to a great
finish for Team Alba, it did provide a lot of
exciting racing for the fans. The crowd went crazy
as Kory hunted down and passed rider after rider
- fighting his way up to the front. After all
was said and done, Kory managed 4th overall.
Kory said that the track
was great- he really likes racing there because
there are lots of areas to pass - obviously in
this race, he made good use of them.
