The St. Clairsville
track has always been known being a great GNCC track
with just about every obstacle except for an MX
Track. High speed field sections, creek crossings,
rocks, mudholes and hillclimbs once again graced
the 2004 track much like it has in previous years
with great weather hanging out in the low 70's.
"I had a great
race today", " I was having so much fun
out on the track - My Alba YFZ450 just soaking up
whatever I threw at it"
Off
the start Traci Cecco Rounds the 1st corner in 2nd
and battles thru the fields with Baldwin Motorsports
Angel Atwell. By the 3 mile marker Cecco edges out
Atwell in a small trail split to take over the lead.
By the end of the lap Cecco has extened her lead
to over 90 seconds and pits heading into the final
lap. At the checkered flag Cecco takes the win with
over 2:30 minutes over 2nd place rival Angel Atwell.
After the race Traci spoke:
"There was one mudhole with
at least 7 different lines.
I sat and waited for the right line to open
which got me a little worried that I would loose
my lead or worse by getting passed without even
knowing it"
" We are making some progress
on what seems to be an all season battle with suspension
tuning - I definately think we are heading into
the right direction" "I cannot wait for
the Ironman GNCC in 2 weeks which is has the exact
same layout of obstacles as we had today"
