| TERRIBLE'S
TOWN 250 - BITD
Starting
17 minutes behind the first quad, Team Alba's Q2 Pro Quad team of
Wayne Matlock and Chad Prull had a lot of ground to make up if they
wanted to get through the dust of the other riders. But getting
through the other riders is exactly what they did in this 250 mile
race, not only finishing in first place, but also being the first
quad to cross the finish line.
Having drawn a late starting position, meant
that Matlock and Prull had to adopt a strategy different than the
"pace yourself" mentality of typical desert races. At
Terrible's, team Q2 had to ride as fast as possible right out of
the gate and put as many riders behind them as quickly as possible.
And they did it well.
Desert racing is about stamina and reliability,
and Matlocks Team Alba LTZ 470 Stroker ran fast and solid, with
pure power no problems reported.
