GA is considered by most of the GNC Pros to be one of
the best tracks in the series, and with over 600 racers
entered, the competition was intense! Team Alba's Kory
Ellis did us proud with respectable finishes in both the
Pro Class and in the first ever Pro Production Class.
Best of all, he ran both on the same Team Alba Racing
LT-Z400!

Pro
Production Class Race
This
was kind of a landmark race, being the first ever Pro
Production race in the GNC series, and Kory battled his
way from a mid-pack start to a podium finish. "I
kept pushing the second place rider for 15 minutes, but
just couldn't get by" stated Ellis.
Racing in the Pro Production class means that you have
to run with a minimum amount of modifications. In Kory's
case, that meant running with the electric starter installed.
"Because of the starter, my quad was heavier than
everyone elses." commented Kory. "...but that
didn't really seem to matter much, the quad ran great."
Pro
Class Race
Well
both motos of the Pro Class stated about the same, and,
well, they really couldn't have been much worse for Kory.
Early on in the first moto, Ellis had to stop and clean
off his goggles which put him dead last. The second moto
started off with an early spin and, again Kory found himself
in the back of the pack. Not to mention that he was the
only one running a stock frame and and electric start.
Because of that, his quad weighed in at about 20 pounds
over most of the other Pro racers. But all that didn't
seem to be a problem for Kory. In the first moto, he came
from the back and passed 15 riders to bring home an 8th
place finish. In the second moto he fought and motored
his way past 16 riders to finish 7th. His determination
and amazing riding landed Kory in 6th overall. Way to
go Kory! Thanks for being a part of Team Alba Racing!
