Traci Cecco Scores a Solid Second
at the Wisp GNCC
After
a 180 degree spinout off the start on the slick grassy turn
one Traci Cecco gets headed in the right direction to chase
down the early leaders. By the 9 mile marker of the 1st lap
Cecco has worked her way to within 4 seconds of 1st place
rider Honda of Troys Stephanie Parton. Cecco held her position
steady throughout the final 2 laps of the race while battling
a severely bent spindle & no brakes after contacting a rock
during the first lap of the race to bring home a solid 2nd
placing at the end.
"I had a pretty scary start today
when I spun out on the slick grass right after turn one with
racers passing me by as I was facing backwards sliding down
the track" , "My Alba Z motor ran flawless today" "I hit a
rock really hard in the first couple of miles while trying
to make up time I lost when I spun out - I guess I bent my
spindle pretty bad which aided in me loosing my front brakes
completely" "I still made good time - but the bent spindle
and no brakes kept me off of the pace I wanted to run" "I
am just glad to have finished with some good points going
into the final 4 rounds!"
