Team Alba Finishes 2nd at 2002 Tecate Baja 500!

(6/2/02) Team Alba racers Greg Row, Danny Prayther and Wayne Matlock posted a 2nd place finish - bringing in their Team Alba Racing DS650 Baja only four and a half minutes behind the winners in the Tecate Baja 500.

"It was a pretty good day for Team Alba Racing," Matlock said. "We had a couple of little problems that kept us from winning, but the team worked hard, and I'm pretty happy with the result."

After starting 13th, six minutes behind the leader, Team Alba picked up the lead 150 miles into the race thanks to some hard riding by Row and Prayther. Soon they were fighting off Temecula Motorsports' challenge for the lead. Back and forth the teams traded the number one position until a pitstop proved disastrous for Team Alba.
