GNCC PRO-AM
BITD Co Rider - Cory Hove, Rick Cecco
2006 GNCC Pro-Am 2nd
Overall
There
are not many racers who have bridged the gap from Southern
California desert racing and GNCC Woods Cross Country racing.
The high speed long distance riding of desert racing is quite
different than the tight corners, tree bumping and stream
hopping that makes up GNCC racing. The disciplines are so
different that a racer who excels at one, doesn't usually
excel at the other. Usually.

Parker 250 - BITD Best In The Desert
1st Place Expert Quad |
At just nineteen years old, Tyler
Lenig excels at both. Taking a commanding lead in the GNCC
series for 2006 - and even winning a couple of races - has
really made people start to take notice. And when given the
opportunity of racing in the Parker 250 BITD desert race this
January, he jumped at the chance - even though he had never
actually ridden in the desert, much less, raced. That didn't
seem to matter.

Tyler helped his 3-man team of
himself, Cory Hove and Rick Cecco take the overall win in
the Expert Class. In fact, Tyler's lap times were not that
far off of the top experts for the lap. After his first desert
race, Tyler was in first place for the expert division. Not
bad for his first attempt.
Speaking of first attempts, recently
on a new stock TRX450 - with just a motor kit, Tyler entered
a GNC National Motocross race in the pro-am division - and
qualified for the main event!
Although
Tyler is a very talented rider, his ability to ride fast and
smart came from years of practice. Tyler logs more hours on
a quad than most people do in a car. In his native Pennsylvania
he has hundreds of miles of trails right out of his back yard
- and he makes good use of them.
