With his custom built Banshee, Mark started drag racing in 1998. (see write-up on him and his banshee) By 1999 he won his first sand drag championship and followed up in 2000. In the mean time, Mark started "putting around" on MX tracks. In 2005 Mark entered his first official MX race at his local track, El Cajon - where he went down hard, yet still finished 6th overall. Afterwhich, he was transported to the hospital for an overnight stay. Since then, he's done a much better job of staying on his YFZ450, finishing the 12 Race Thunder in the Valley series 4th in points in two classes. For 2006 he's moved up to the +30 and has continued with a string of 1st place finishes.
