July 31, 2005
After a crazy race that saw
many of the front runners falter, Team Alba's
Kory Ellis continued on a strong second-half
of the season with a 3rd place finish in
the GNC Pro Class. This was the third podium
for Ellis since the half way point - hopefully
giving him good momentum for a strong finish
at Loretta's on the 14th. |

Lead
GNCC
9 The Wisp
June 25, 2005
The GNCC Women's Pro division
has seen a fierce battle this year between
Team Alba's Traci
Cecco and longtime rival Stephanie
Parton. This season the
championship lead has swapped back and forth
as both riders overcome the challenges inherent
to pro racing. With a strong run at the
technically challenging Wisp, despite an
early crash, Traci Cecco again overtook
Parton for the overall lead. |

Alba's Sage Baker Injured In Tennessee
July
2, 2005
Sage
Baker came up short
on a triple - landing him a trip to the
emergency room with a broken femur. After
a painfully long wait for the ambulance,
Sage was taken to a local hospital then
air lifted to University of Kentucky Med
Center where they added a few stainless
aftermarket parts. Sage is in good spirits
but will be out for the remainder of the
season. Everyone at Alba wishes him a speedy
recovery. |

Chris
Borich Breaks His Collar Bone at The Wisp
June 25, 2005
2005 GNCC Championship Contender
and Team Alba racer Chris
Borich crashed in The
Wisp - GNCC Round 9 and broke his collar
bone. While challenging for 2nd, Borich
clipped a rock on the inside of a corner
in one of the high-speed downhill sections,
which sent him flying. The Alba staff hopes
he gets back on four wheels soon!

at High Point
June 18, 2005
GNC 9 - High Point, PA
Kory
Ellis was on a roll.
This was one of his best charges of the
season and with a solid finish in the first
moto and a hard charge in moto 2 that would
have given him second spot on the podium. |

GNCC Men's Pro Chris
Borich Comes Back from a Lap 1 Tangle to
Challenge Balance for the Win
June 11, 2005
The Mountaineer
GNCC Event #8 Summerville, WV
In one of the best battles
of the season, Chris
Borich finished just on
the bumper of past-champion Bill Balance
after swapping the lead back and forth for
much of the race and distancing themselves
from the rest of the field. This, of course,
is after Borich battled his way back from
about 7th after a tangling with a log on
the trail on the first lap. |

ATV
Racing Included in 2005 ESPN Great Outdoor
Games (link goes
to ESPN.com)
July 7th - 10th
In the sporting event that
made axe throwing, dog jumping and log rolling
mainstream, two new ATV events will give
ATV racing some much needed publicity. For
2005 The ESPN Great Outdoor Games will include
Four Wheel Frenzy and Terracross, two new
ATV racing events.
Four
Wheel Frenzy sounds like
a combination GNC and GNCC race with both
motocross and cross country challenges.
ATV Terracross
is both an obstacle course
and bow and arrow target event, akin to
hunting or the Nordic Combined event from
winter Olympics. Should be fun to watch.
Be sure to tune in June 7th - 10th.
Team Alba Racing's
GNC Pro Kory
Ellis and GNCC Pro Chris
Borich will be competing in the Four
Wheel Frenzy - don't miss it!

Team Alba's
Matlock Crashes Out of Baja 500
June
4, 2005
In what we hoped would be
the turn-around race for Alba's 2004 BITD
Championship Team of Wayne
Matlock, fate seemed to have
a different agenda. Late in the first quarter
of the race, Ty
Zimmerman, Matlock's team
mate, was involved in a crash, totaling
the frame, removing them from contention.
Although the bike was ruined, the rider
is ok and ready to come back for the 1000
later this year. |

battles for win at glen helen
Apr 3, 2005
Jeremy Schell, coming off
a broken ankle, took the hole shot and never
looked back at ITP Quadcross at Glen Helen.
In moto two, Schell had the hole-shot took
off from the pack. Jeremy had about a 10
second lead over the filed, but Dustin Nelson
closed the gap and, by the final lap, was
knocking on Jeremy's back bumper. In perhaps
the most exciting race so far this season,
Jeremy was able to edge out Dustin by a
few inches at the checkered flag - for the
overall win. |
