We
get a lot of calls from customers, and many ask the same questions.
To make it easier for you to get the information you are looking
for, we're working on compiling a list of these questions
and their answers. Below is a list of the most common customer
questions.
- How loud is the ALBA pipe?
- The ALBA pipe is designed to get the most
amount of power from your motor for racing applications.
Because of this it's very loud. The decibel rating depends
on the vehicle it's on. If you plan to ride in area that
require noise suppression, we offer a quiet
tip in 3 different noise levels.
- After riding hard, my pipe glows. Is
this normal?
- Yes, a lot of heat is dispersed in an exhaust
pipe and it's quite normal for it to glow red after a lot
of riding. The darker it is out, the more obvious it will
be. So you may notice glowing more in the evening. Of course,
this means that it's very hot so it's a good idea to avoid
touching the pipe for a while after riding. We do offer
carbon fiber pipe guards to protect your riding pants and
boots if it is an issue.
- Do your pipes come with a spark arrestor?
- Spark arrestors are not included but we
do have spark
arrestors available that fit all of our pipes. Our quiet
tip attachment includes a spark arrestor.
- Alba Rhino Pipe Sounds Louder than the Claimed 1db Over. Whats up?
- The db increase is correct at only 1db over stock. But this is over a STOCK unit - which hits the rev limiter at approximately 6,200 RPMs. At that rpm and below it actually does test out at only 1 db louder than stock. Please remember that db are exponential. However if you have an aftermarket CDI module which allows a higher rev limiter, than the sound output increase is higher. Under these circumstances the sound gain is about 2.5 db louder at 8000 RPMs. Also, if you have any other motor modifications, they too will affect the sound output.
- Do your Pro Elite A-arms offer camber/caster
adjustments?
- Both the Pro Elite and
Pro Elite Race A-Arms have pre set caster
and adjustable camber adjustments.
- Do you sponsor riders? Will you sponsor
me?
- ATV RACING
Yes we sponsor many racers racers, mostly at the Pro and
Semi-Pro levels of ATV racing.
For GNCC
and ITP
Quadcross racers, we offer a contingency program
that basically pays you to race for us if you meet basic
criteria - like running Alba graphics and/or an Alba pipe.
The better you finish, the more you are paid.

- Will you be making a graphics kit for..................?
- With over 50 different graphics kits for
ATVs, we have a lot to choose from. And, because of this,
we get a lot of people asking if we'll be making a kit for
their particular quad. Since Alba has grown to include all
the major ATV brands, and each ATV is released in multiple
colors, it's getting more and more difficult to crank out
new graphics kits. That being said, we try and constantly
produce new cool graphics kits for the most popular quads.
Generally, we'll try and produce a new kit for each sport
quad for each year. We may even do a racing graphics kit
for the members of our pro race team. Otherwise, it's kind
of a wait and see. Like with the Angel kit, is was so popular
and we got so many requests for different models, we produced
it for a number of ATVs. The more popular your quad, the
more likely is is that we'll produce a kit for it.
- I do not live close to Alba, can I still
buy an Alba Performance ATV?
- Most customers would be surprised at how
many Alba Quads we ship all around the US. We often ship
Alba Quads internationally. The process is very simple,
and probably costs less than you think. Basically, an Alba
Vehicle Sales Representative will work with you to determine
the details of your order, like plastics color, the graphics
kit you would like and any other option that you may want
to include. They will be then work with you on financing
and arrange delivery. Delivery costs within the US are usually
less than $600, and are determined by how far from San Diego
the vehicle is being delivered. We'll build the quad with
all the included performance ALBA parts, make sure it works
correctly, crate it up and ship it to your door. Couldn't
be easier! If you are interested, contact one of our Vehicle
Sales Specialists at 800.487.3236 or and
they'll fill you in on the details and work up a total door
to door price. Because of the numerous variables involved,
it's much better to contact the sales associate by phone.
- Where is my order?
- If you've placed an order online before
2:00pm Pacific time, you're order will be processed that
same day. If it's after 2:00 Pacific time, you're order
will be in the first batch for the following day. So if
you placed an order at 3:00 pm on the Monday the 1st, and
chose 3-day delivery, it will ship on the 2nd and you should
receive it on Friday the 5th. Please note that the delivery
time is in business days, so weekend days do not count.
If there is a problem with your order, like something is
back-ordered, out-of-stock, or didn't ship on time for what
ever reason, you will be notified by email. You can always
contact Paul
Seibert, our director of online sales, if you
have questions about your order. E-mail is the best way
to reach Paul.
IF YOU USED A DIFFERENT SHIP TO ADDRESS
For the moment, we will not ship out orders to
a separate ship-to address, and will only ship to the address
listed as the billing address on the credit card used for
purchase. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you placed
an order with a separate ship-to address you will be contacted
by Alba and your money will be refunded.
